Great job everyone at the first show! Everyone did a great job
showing their pony! Now let’s keep it going and have us a great season!
Our first show on March 1st was just the start of the season.
We only have 6 shows this year, so if we want saddles as the end of the
year we need to go big with our fundraisers.
After the end of the Youth classes, we had a meeting to help
plan out the fundraisers for the season. We decided to have a Bake Sale
for the April 5th show. We would like everyone to talk to
their friends, neighbors and family to get them to donate some cookies
or a pie. Maybe you can even have a baking party! Any donations for the
bake sale will be greatly appreciated.
At all the shows the youth will have a donation box out. Please
feel free to help out the future of cutting and donate the spare change
in your pocket. It will be greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to
contact us either on our phones, or through the email
cowgirl_cuties1@yahoo.com.

A message from one of our members I would like to thank everyone involved with the NCCHA for such a great show and for sponsoring the Cajun saddles. This past year was my first time in the show pen; to say the least it was terrifying and frustrating, but just being there was dream come true. My whole life, I have had one goal, to train and show cutting horses. I still have an awful lot to learn, but this is the first time in my 23 years that I have had anything tangible to show for my life's obsession. The horses themselves have always made cutting a worthwhile endeavor; but there is also the good people of this industry, people who have shaped my life in the arena as well as in the world. In the words of John Burroughts, "For anything worth having, one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love and self sacrifice." I know that all of you involved with the NCCHA has paid this price, and for that I am so grateful.

For the riders who are competing for points, I’d like to give you some words of encouragement. Do you realize that in one show, you can advance 5 places in the standing? You never know what will happen at the next show. The person leading could lose two cows and you could win your class. Don’t ever tell yourself, you don’t have a chance, because you’re defeating yourself before you ever step to the herd. Tell yourself "I Can Do It" You are a winner, if you try to Do Your Personal Best. There are three kinds of people Those Who Make Things Happen,
